Meet Our Rock Star Staff!

Lisa Pevateaux - Owner/Founder & Visionary

Lisa has been dancing for twenty-six years. Lisa has been instructing students' dance for the past eighteen years. She has taught at dance studios throughout Colorado and the surrounding states. She has choreographed for several high school pom pon and dance squads as well as college squads. Lisa has a substantial professional performance background as well. She was a Denver Nuggets Dance Team member for four years and she directed the team in her final season during a playoff year. She was a Denver Broncos cheerleader for three seasons and in her final year she performed at Superbowl 32. Lisa has continued to participate as a judge for the Denver Nuggets Dance Team auditions and has taught master technique classes for the team. Lisa is also still involved with the Denver Broncos cheerleaders and has been a technical judge during their auditions in past seasons. Lisa's performing credits include dancing in the Las Vegas Revue โ€œPizzazzโ€ for a season run. She also performed as a core dancer in the Denver Center Theater production of Star Fever in the Space Theater. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Lisa practiced public accounting for 8 years as a CPA prior to opening Elite in 2003. She has owned and operated the studios since 2003. In 2015, she founded Camp Telaphiba, an overnight summer dance retreat for dancers ages 10-18 from all over the country and world. Lisa is living in Denver with her husband, Chris, their two sons, John David and Chase and their dogs, Dax and Zoe.

Brandy Kapustensky - Customer Astonishment Manager, Event Manager

Brandy has been dancing in Colorado since the age of three. She grew up doing studio dance in Golden, Colorado and poms at Golden High School. She went on to dance for the University of Colorado Boulder for two years and has been a Dream Project member for seven seasons. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in business administration and accounting and has her physical education teaching license as well. She currently works full time for Elite Dance Academy. Brandy says, "Elite can fulfill the dreams of any dancer, teacher or other staff member!! It fills my soul and through Elite I have met so many incredible women that I now call my life-long best friends!"

Sunny Reichert - Classroom Manager, Team Manager, CORE Team Leader, Hip Hop Crew Leader, Instructor

Sunny Reichert was born in rural Illinois where she started training in dance at the age of 5. At the age of 10, she joined her first dance company and began traveling nationwide, competing in various dance competitions. Throughout high school she received numerous dance scholarships and earned national recognition with her dance companies. Sunny moved to Los Angeles in 2004 to pursue her career in dance and quickly began working in film, TV and print. Some of her career highlights were working for Aamco, Comedy Central, FOX, Matchbox 20, NBC, Pepsi and William Morris Entertainment. While working, Sunny also received her degree from Cal State Northridge in 2009, where she minored in dance. Sunny is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary and hip-hop and has used her well-rounded training to build a successful teaching career. For 20 years now, Sunny has been a teacher producing and choreographing many of her own dance performances and productions. She has also directed numerous different dance companies for children and pre-professionals, most recently working as the Educational Director at Santa Barbara Dance Arts. Sunny is proud to say some of her dance students have gone on to train at Juilliard, NYU Tisch School of the Arts and The American Ballet Theatre. BUT Sunny is excited to be in Denver now and call Elite Dance Academy her new home!

Brittany Capone - Instructor

Brittany Capone began dancing at the age of 3 and danced competitively starting at age 12.ย  As a Colorado native she danced at several different studios locally in the Denver area.ย  After high school she went on to be a University of Colorado Dancer, Outlaws Lacrosse dancer and even a Denver Broncos Cheerleader.

Brittany has taught jazz, lyrical, ballet and hip hop to both recreational and competitive dancers previously at Elite. Currently she oversees choreography and training for our Performance Team. She also works as a software quality assurance analyst in Denver. ย 

Brittany has a true passion for teaching and instilling a love for dance in her students. She is committed to teaching not only dance technique, but to serve as a mentor to her students, teaching kindness, confidence, and the importance of being part of a team.

Lindsay Oldham - Mini & Junior Crew Leader, Instructor

I was born and raised in Broomfield, CO and have been dancing since age 3. I grew up in a dance studio, practicing all styles. Once I started high school, I left the studio and found a passion for Poms. I've worked for Jeffco Public Schools for 15 years, working in before and after school child care and grants accounting. I graduated in 2019 from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in business management. Outside of work and dance,ย  I love golfing, paddle boarding and going on adventures with my husband.

Megan Luker - Customer Astonishment Representative, Instructor

Megan is a recent high school graduate who grew up dancing at Elite where she found her dance family. She took a slight break from dance to be a high school pom where she was captain and helped her team win 12th in the nation for large varsity poms. She is back now to Elite and is hoping to help other young dancers find their dance family at Elite too!!

Kim Karis - Customer Astonishment Representative

Kim grew up dancing and has always had a passion for the art in all its forms, but particularly enjoys ballet and musical theater. Frequenting the Colorado Ballet is one of the things Kim looks forward to most and always enjoys a good show! Now that her two daughters enjoy dance as much, if not more, than she does, joining Elite was a natural fit. Kim is an Arizona State University graduate with a degree in Journalism and has worked in digital marketing for the last 15 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking and anything on television that can transport her to another place and time.

Erin Rose - Instructor

Erin has been dancing and loving everything dance since she was seven years old. She recently moved to Colorado from Arizona, where she attended the University of Arizona. She has always been passionate about healthy movement and expression, specifically with dancers, as they experience a unique and demanding role! She is now a Student of Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado, where her dream is to specialize in dancers and injury prevention. She is very excited to be a part of the Elite family!

Chelsea Canda - Instructor

Chelsea has been a dancer on and off for her whole life - more on than off. Her soul speaks ballet and it is a true love of hers. She is so thrilled to be able to help students grow in skill and love for ballet at Elite!

Ally Merrion - Instructor

Ally is a senior in college pursuing a psychology degree, she has been dancing since she was three and fell in love with dance when she started competing in middle school. Since then, she has never stopped being a student and performer. She loves ballet, tap and contemporary and is passionate about passing the love of dance on to her students. She believes that dance makes everything better and there is always more to learn! She is thrilled to be part of the Elite family helping students have fun and grow as dancers and as people.

Sammy Lee - Instructor

Sammy is a Colorado native and grew up dancing competitively then danced for Douglas County High School. She is currently a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder studying accounting. She is passionate about sharing the gift of dance with students and is so excited to be a part of the EDA family!

Chloe Yearous - Sales & Marketing Specialist, Instructor

Chloe began dancing at the age of 3 and started competing in all styles by age 8 after moving to Colorado. She went on to be a four-year member of the Rock Canyon High School Dance Team, earning three pom state titles and placing in the top three at UDA Nationals in both 2020 and 2021. In May of 2025, she graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Media Studies and a minor in Business. She is beyond excited to combine her love for dance along with her passions in marketing and community engagement to the Elite Dance Academy family!

Clare Bates - Customer Astonishment Representative, Assistant Production Leader, Instructor

Clare, originally from Illinois, has been dancing since the age of three. Her passion for dance led her to pursue a degree in Dance Education at Illinois State University, where she recently graduated. Clare is excited to bring her energy and experience to the studio, and she looks forward to connecting with the students and sharing the joy of dance with everyone!

Mari Charlson - Instructor

Mari Charlson has been passionate about dance for over two decades, with 22 years of experience as a dancer and 8 years as a dance instructor. She was a member of both the Liberty High School and University of Missouriโ€“Kansas City dance teams and trained at Studio 10 Dance in Liberty, MO and Kansas City Ballet. Mari specializes in teaching Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Pom, and Technique classes. Now in her first year teaching in Denver, Colorado, she continues to share her love of dance with the next generation.

Devon Beckum - Instructor

Devon has been dancing since she was four years old and went on to get her BFA in dance with a certificate in hip-hop studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. Sheโ€™s trained in a variety of styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, house, locking, and waacking. Sheโ€™s also been fortunate enough to work behind the scenes as a lighting designer, house manager, and event planner.

Nura Parikh - Instructor

Nura Parikh is a classically trained dancer hailing from Denver, Colorado. She began her training at the Dance Conservatory of Denver. She then continued her studies at Colorado Ballet Academy and later attended the University of Arizona School of Dance, where she furthered her knowledge and experience in dance pedagogy. She is currently a dancer with Colorado Ballet and is thrilled to be part of the staff at Elite Dance Academy.

Alexa Schuessler - Assistant Production Leader

Alexa is originally from Long Island, New York and relocated to Broomfield in August 2016! She grew up in ballet, lyrical, tap and jazz classes. In middle school, Alexa discovered her passion for musical theatre and musical theatre dance! She has choreographed, directed, and produced numerous productions in schools, community theatres and colleges. Alexa graduated from The State University of New York at Geneseo with a degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences and Musical Theatre and got her Master's Degree from Columbia University. She currently works as a speech therapist during the day and loves spending her evenings with the Elite Family! When not dancing or teaching, she loves doing crafts, hiking and singing!
