Early Childhood Dance Classes

Ages 18 Months - Five Years Old

Elite Dance Academy’s early childhood program develops so much more than dance skills! Build social skills, unlock the joy of dance and have fun in age-appropriate classes led by Elite’s expert instructors. Students “graduate” at the end of each year of participation in the early childhood program to allow instructors to evaluate readiness for the next level of classes.

BRIGHT BEGINNINGS

Dance With Me - Parent & Tot

18 Months - 3 Years Old

A fun, energetic class for parents and their young students to dance together and help their children develop gross motor skills and social skills, while developing musicality and having fun! Children learn how to participate in a group and take direction from a teacher. One caretaker is allowed to participate in the classroom, and must engage for the entire class duration to assist in physically moving and guiding their student around the room.

Children are encouraged to participate in class, but are never forced to do so. EDA instructors understand that every child develops at their own pace and exercises patience with nervous students. Bright Beginnings is the perfect introduction to EDA’s Twinkling Stars dance classes for two year olds. Learn more about the dress code for this class.

Ballet / Tap Combo, Tumbling

Age 3

Beginning at age 3, students have the opportunity to enroll in multiple classes!

Ballet / Tap Combo: Young dancers learn the foundational movements of both ballet and tap, combined with enriching activities, to develop core dance skills and build social skills while having fun!

Tumble Tots: This high-energy class introduces creative movements and the foundations of tumbling to three and four year old students! Learn tumbles, rolls and floor skills while building balance and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

Shooting Stars

Ballet / Tap Combo, Tumbling

Age 4

Ballet / Tap Combo: Students learn the foundational techniques of ballet and tap, combined with fun enriching activities to encourage excitement and social growth! 30 minutes of each dance genre is included in these one-hour long class sessions.

Tumble Tots: This high-energy class introduces creative movements and the foundations of tumbling to three and four year old students! Learn tumbles, rolls and floor skills while building balance and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

Jazz / Hip Hop Combo, Ballet, Acro, Tap

Age 5

Ballet: Students are introduced to the basic movements and vocabulary of ballet that serve as the foundation to their dance journeys, no matter the genre that they love most! Ballet classes incorporate flexibility and technique-focused warm ups, and introductory training of proper ballet technique and combinations.

Jazz / Hip Hop Combo: Students are introduced to basic jazz movements, new hip hop movements and vocabulary. Classes incorporate fun, high energy warm ups to prepare for faster-pace classes, incorporating both jazz and hip hop techniques, and promote choreography retention.

Beginner Tap: Beginner tap classes for five year olds introduce students to the fundamental movements and terminology of tap. Classes teach proper technique and combinations that students build upon throughout the season, and in later levels of tap classes.

Acro I Add-On: This add-on only acro class is perfect for high-energy students that want to learn basic tumble tricks, and how to perform movements safely with proper stretches and flexibility.

Sparkle Squad

Ages 3 - 4

Go above and beyond with Elite Dance Academy’s Sparkle Squad! Dancers learn extra choreography in an additional weekly class to prepare for bonus community performances, while building stage presence, confidence and teamwork skills. Sparkle Squad performances are separate from recital and/or Nutcracker performances, and team members receive special recital costumes and t-shirts.

SPARKLE SQUAD: Monthly tuition for Sparkle Squad is $170. Tuition includes one Rising Stars or Shooting Stars-level class per week, one 30-minute Sparkle Squad rehearsal class per week and costumes for this performance crew for ages 3 - 4.

TUMBLE TOTS: Tumble Tots classes can be taken as a single class, or add-on class. The Tumble Tots single class rate is $81, or the add-on class rate is $24.

MEMBERSHIP FEES: Includes an annual membership fee of $54 per dancer, or $91 per family.

PERFORMANCE FEES: Includes a one-time performance package fee of $110 per dancer, per show for ages 2 - 3. Performance fees are $221 per dancer, per show, for ages 4+. Performances include our Nutcracker (December) and Recital (June) shows. Families are responsible for costumes costs associated with each class and performance. Performance fees do not apply to Bright Beginnings classes.

PAYMENTS: The first month of tuition, membership and performance fees are due upon enrollment. Families can choose to pay all tuition and additional fees up front for a 3% discount, or pay in 11 installments. Installment plans require a full semester commitment, and are charged on the 15th of the month from July - May. Credit cards incur a 3% fee. Any families that pay in cash will be required to keep another form of payment on file.

Starting at age 5, the most common choice for students is to take at least two classes per week to achieve their goals, and to establish a routine with their community of teachers and students!
